John Gambino Obituary

GAMBINO John Louis Gambino, 82 years old, resident of Metairie and Westwego, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2010. He was a veteran of the US Army and retired from Louisiana Power and Light. He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Collins Gambino and his parents, Salvador J. Gambino and Alice A. Gambino. He is survived by five children, Patricia Dugas Bourque and her husband Donald Bourgue, Johnny J. Gambino and his wife Pamela Gambino, Jeffery Gambino, Elizabeth Gambino Plaisance and her husband Ronald Plaisance, Angela Gambino Marks and her husband Niel Marks; and one sister, Gail Marie Cowans. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Chapel of Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will begin on Friday, October 29 at 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM, and continue on Saturday at 9:00 AM. Interment will be in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery, West-wego, LS. So sorry for the loss of Mr. Gambino. I am his neighbor in Metaire The corner house. My dog played with his dog Lady. Let me know if there is anything I can do for the family.
