John was my roommate at the Loyola dorm, friend, and fraternity brother. We had tons of fun with Philip DePauw, Jaime Morales, an Italian guy, a guitar player, and a Rambler basket basketball star named Russ Coleman, and our other dorm friends. There were never any dull moments. We had a blast. We often played hearts til 2 AM.
