Jourdan John Growl

Jourdan John Growl a native of LaPlace and a resident of Lutcher, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2023 at the age of 39. Jourdan was a lover of all things outdoors, but especially hunting and fishing. He was always eager and ready to share this love with those around him. Good hunting and fishing stories were a must when gathered with family and friends. His other great love was being a dad to his two children and he always looked forward to sharing an adventure with them such as bowling, movies, and go cart riding. He was an employee of Dupont with over 18 years of service. He is survived by his children, the loves of his life, William and Ella Growl, his mother Robin George Growl, one sister Christie Ocmond (Brandon), and niece Paige Durocher (Taylor) and nephews Ethan Ocmond (Sommer), and Aiden Ocmond. He is also survived by two great-nephews, three great nieces as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins that will cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his father Rory J. Growl, paternal grandparents John "Bum" and Norma Growl, and maternal grandparents Chalmus and Lois George. The family would like to thank the St. James Parish Sheriff's Office for their professional and compassionate services during a very difficult time. We would also like to thank all of the friends who have reached out with words of sympathy and comfort. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation and Funeral Service at Rose Lynn Funeral Home, 1870 Cabanose Ave., Lutcher, LA on Monday, February 6, 2023. Visitation from to 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. A private interment will take place at a later date.
