Karl Jackson Obituary

Karl A. Jackson, Sr., was born on July 6, 1956 to the late Rosemary P. and John J. Jackson. He departed this life on Monday, January 29, 2024. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jackson is also preceded in death by a brother, Keith Jackson; son, John Roberts and sister-in-law, Cassandra Ivory. Survivors include his siblings, Kevin J. Jackson, Sr.(Catherine), Karen Jackson and Terriyanna Johnpire. Karl met and married the late Daphne Nixon and to this union, two children were born, Karl Jackson, Jr. (Tiffany) and Keith Jackson (Kelli). Later in life, he was blessed with a daughter, Brittany Davis Alexander (Reginald, Jr.). Karl then married Susan Hicks Roberts. Also survived by fourteen grandchildren, eight nieces, five nephews, two Godchildren, three sisters in law and mother in law, Grace Hicks. Karl worked as a Transportation Operator for USDA-National Finance Center. After his career at USDA, he worked for several trucking companies and eventually established his own company Special K Konvoy. Relatives and friends are all invited to attend the funeral. A Celebration Service honoring the life and legacy of the late Mr. Karl A. Jackson, Sr., will be held in the Chapel of Charbonnet Labat Glapion Funeral Home, 1615 St. Philip Street, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 1 pm, Bishop Ronnie London, Officiating.Interment Private. Visitation 12 noon in the chapel. Due to Covid variants, face mask and social distancing strongly encouraged. Please sign online guestbook at charbonnetfuneralhome.com.
