Kelvin Wesley Adams passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 in Covington, LA. He was born on December 8, 1957 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Joseph Alston Adams and Florence Hart Adams. Kelvin was the beloved husband of Cheryl Chatham Adams for 43 years. He was the loving father of Katie Adams Wynne (Vincent), Craig Kelvin Adams, and Kevin Wesley Adams. Kelvin worked for, and retired from, the U.S. Postal Service where he miraculously memorized the name and address of everyone he encountered. He enjoyed making his deliveries and chatting with those fortunate enough to live on his route. After retirement he vowed to spend his time relaxing and enjoying one of his favorite hobbies, fishing, but his need to serve our community could not be quelled. He soon got a part time job at Christwood Retirement community where he was courier to residents and again able to engage in his second favorite hobby: chatting. Kelvin will be remembered for his indomitable spirit; his humor and his graciousness. He will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to help his family and friends. Kelvin never met a stranger, to know him was to love him, and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Due to COVID-19, social distancing is encouraged and masks are required to attend services. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Avenue, Covington, LA on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 1:30 p.m. until service time. E. J.
