Kendric Wells

1974 - 2023

Kendric "Fat" Wells was born on April 28, 1974, in New Orleans to the late Avis Wells. On Saturday, July 15, 2023, the angels escorted Kendric home at the age of 49. Kendric was an artist, barber and an athlete. Kendric was an alumnus of Francis T. Nicholls High School. Kendric was affectionately known as Fat and was loved by everyone he came in contact with, he was always laughing and smiling no matter how he was feeling. Kendric's children were his pride and joy and he never ended a conversation without saying that he loves you! He leaves behind to cherish his memory his four sons: Travis, Kendric, Joshua and Neyo and two daughters: Kendra and Dariyah; four brothers: Albert, Kendall, Damiane and Elton Wells, one sister Johanna Wells; and one great aunt Jessie Mae Ricks He is also survived by a host of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Preceded in death by his mother Avis Wells, grandmother Althea Wells and godfather Eugene Wells. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at The Boyd Family Funeral Home, 5001 Chef Menteur Hwy., New Orleans, LA on Saturday, July 22, 2023, for 1:30 p.m. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Interment is private.
