Peter James Zuppardo

1949 - 2024

Peter James Zuppardo was called home to rest in peace on Friday, July 5th, 2024, at the age of 74. He was born on November 21st, 1949 to Mike and Antoinette Zuppardo. He was the brother of Charles M. Zuppardo (Cathleen) and Ann Z. Selph (John). Uncle of Mary Z. Karmoukos (George), Michael C. Zuppardo (Chiamaka) and Jeanne M. Selph. Great uncle of Chloe Karmoukos, Nicholas Karmoukos and Ava Zuppardo. He graduated from Warren Easton High School and worked in bar retail for many years in the French Quarter. Starting in 2000, he became employed by the Treasure Chest Casino for twenty-two years where he demonstrated his skill set for Baccarat and Blackjack. Peter was a valued colleague and friend to many at the casino during his tenure. He also served as a eucharistic minister at Our Lady of Divine Mercy for several years. Peter was loved by all who knew him. He could find the humor in anything and thought his older brother was the funniest of them all. He cherished his family above all else, and by God's grace they were able to be with him at the end to say their good-byes. A memorial service and Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 18th, 2024 at Our Lady of Divine Mercy, 4337 Sal Lentini Parkway, Kenner LA. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the Memorial Mass at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, Masses are appreciated.
