Skylar De'shay Dunn was born on August 13, 2018, at West Jefferson Medical Hospital, Marrero, Louisiana, to her lovely mother–Brittany Dunn and her honorary father–Norman Louis III; she departed her early life on October 19, 2022. Skylar was currently attending Emmett Gilbert School in Avondale, LA; she had just started Pre-K and loved every minute of it. Skylar was a bright, brilliant 4-year-old who was lovable, outgoing and who loved to sing; she was a dancing machine. Skylar loved to watch You Tubes and Tik Tocs. She was all girl, and she knew she was the princess of the house. Skylar's best friend was her oldest brother–Kharon; her big brother Darion was her personal punching bag–she loved them both dearly. Her favorite thing to do was to call her grandmother all day long. She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her mother; honorary father; siblings–Kharon Woods, Darion Audrict, and Jonquil Smith; grandmothers–Tonia Causey, Michelle Ussin and Sonya Smith; uncles–Markell Causey, Jerry Williams, and Odell Evans; aunties–Vienna, Lisa, Ashely and Tinka Jackson, and Alison Louis; and godmothers–Precious Motely and Troyniesha Kent. She was preceded in death by her grandmother–Brigiee Dunn; grandfathers–Jerry Williams Sr. and Odell Causey; uncles–Steve Evans and Terell Jackson; and her great-grandmother–Alberta Williams. Friends and family are invited to the Celebration of Life service on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Murray Henderson Funeral Home, 1209 Teche Street, New Orleans, LA 70114. The Visitation will be from 11:30 am until 12:15 pm; the service will follow. The Interment will take place at McDonoghville Cemetery, 520 Hancock Street, Gretna, LA 70053.
