Steven Joseph Cureau

Steven Joseph Cureau, the youngest son of Louis Wilfred Cureau III and Muriel Baquet Cureau, left this world on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at the age of 55. Steven was a resident of New Orleans, Louisiana until Hurricane Katrina relocated him and his mother to Houston, Texas in 2005 where he lived until his passing. He was baptized at Epiphany Catholic Church and received the Sacrament of Confirmation at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church. Steven also attended school at Arc of Greater New Orleans, Danneel School, Uptown New Orleans and he was a track and field athlete in the New Orleans Special Olympics. He is survived by three brothers, Louis Wilfred Cureau IV (Melissa), Brian Gerard Cureau, and David Anthony Cureau (Mary), and was preceded in death by his father Louis Wilfred Cureau III. Steven is also survived by three nephews; Louis Wilfred Cureau V, David Anthony Cureau Jr. and Nathan Alan Cureau, two nieces; Coleen Rene Cureau and Erin Nicole Cureau, as well as a host of family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial honoring Mr. Steven Cureau will be held at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 5621 Elysian Fields Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana 70122 on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at 12:00 pm. Vistitation begins at 10:00 am. Interment: St. Patrick's Cemetery #3, New Orleans, LA.
