Francis Dooley

McAllen, Texas. Francis Gene Dooley, age 87, formerlly of Minden, Iowa, entered Eternal Rest on January 31, 2021, at the Alfredo Gonzales Texas State Veteran's Home in McAllen, Texas. Gene passed away peacefully in his sleep after a short illness. Mr. Dooley was preceded in death by wife Betty; and his parents, Bernice and Clarence Dooley of Missouri Valley, Iowa. Gene is survived by six children, Clay (Ann Marie) Axtel of Shelton Conn., Phyliss (Ken) Bolton of Council Bluffs, Susie (Len) Griffin of Elkhorn, Neb., Tim (Joy) Dooley, of Shelby, Iowa, Joe (Pearlie) Dooley of Eagle Mountain, Utah, and Rosie Dee of St. Joseph, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Gene was cremated, private family service to be held at a later date.
