Sandra Hinman

1940 - 2022

Sandra K. Hinman, age 82, of Council Bluffs, passed away December 18, 2022, at her home. Sandra was born April 21, 1940, in Omaha, Neb., to the late James C. and Lillian H. (Johnson) Fauble. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1958. Sandra married Donald J. Hinman on August 2, 1958. They were blessed with six children, Daniel, David, Laurie, Twyla, Duane and Rachelle. Sandra was a nurse aide at Jennie Edmundson Hospital and a homemaker. She was a member of Northwest Christian Church. In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Donald J. Hinman in 2002. Sandra is survived by her 6 children, Dan (Laurie) Hinman, of Council Bluffs, David (Terri) Hinman, of Edmond, Okla., Laurie (Jeff) Kouba, of Council Bluffs, Twyla (Brian) Swearingen, of Phoenix, Ariz., Duane (Jennifer) Hinman, of Craig, Neb., Rachelle (Keith) Welsh, of Miamisburg, Ohio; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation with the family, Wednesday, 5 to 7 p.m., at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Funeral service, Thursday, 11 a.m., at the funeral home. Interment, Ridgewood Cemetery, with a lunch following at the Walnut Hill Reception Center, 1350 East Pierce St. The family will direct memorial contributions.
