Talmage Quick Obituary
June 18, 1943 - September 15, 2024
Talmage V.R. "Tal" Quick, age 81, of Council Bluffs, passed away at his home on September 15, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Tal was born June 18, 1943, in Council Bluffs to the late Talmage W. and Jeremiah B. (Van Rensselaer) Quick. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1961 and proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1961 to 1965. Tal and his wife, Alice, were blessed with one son, Talmage W. Quick. He was a salesman for RJR Nabisco for 30 plus years. Tal was a member of the former Grace Presbyterian Church, American Legion Post #2, Excelsior Masonic Lodge #259 AF & AM, and the Shriner's.
In addition to his parents, Tal was preceded in death by his wife, Alice in 1999; and his sister, Schuyler V.R. Quick in 2017.
Tal is survived by his son, Tal Quick, Jr., of Council Bluffs.
Graveside service and burial, Friday, 3 p.m., in Cedar Lawn Cemetery.

Tal was one of nicest people I´ve ever known and would do anything for a friend. Might of liked beer a little too much but that´s always been a mutual pleasure (problem). He will be missed.

Shocked to learn of Tal's passing. As a sophomore at AL and playing football, he befriended me, and kept the upperclassmen from teasing me. That was sheer kindness. I have wonderful memories of him. My prayers are with his son and friends.
