Alashaian, Avedis, age 83, of Leonia, on Tuesday April 18, 2017. Beloved husband to Rosemary Alashaian nee: Merjanian, devoted father to Mark and Nicole Alashaian; Richard and Vana Alashaian; Avedis and Meganoush Alashaian, Cherished Grandfather to Armen, Luciné, Knar, Shant, Elisabeth, Richard, Gregory and Alexander. The family will receive their friends on Friday 4:00 - 8:00 pm at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street "opposite the Fort Lee Library". All are asked to assemble on Saturday at St. Illuminator's Armenian Cathedral 221 E. 27th Street, New York, NY at 09:30 AM. Dear Rosemary and Family,
I don't know you well but I do wish you my condolences for your great loss. Bless Avo and you all. I was not in contact with Avo for many years, but I knew him way back when we were very young. We went to Stuyvesant High School together, also Armenian School and the AYF. Unfortunately, my life followed a different path from Avo's and I lost contact with him, but I always have fond memories of those early years. And I have known of his life after those years from discussions with my brother Mesrob. I am so happy that he had such a joyful life. I am sure he is at peace now. Bless Avo and Rosemary and his family.
