Elaine Devlin Obituary
She is survived by her children Scott and his wife Katie Devlin and Kate and her husband John Semeniak all of Ridgewood. She is also survived by her grandchildren Nolan, Max and Sasha and her cousins Ellen and Bill Dinneen and Gene and Carolyn Wendelken.
Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 11 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Ridgewood. Visitation will be on Saturday, May 9 from 3-6 p.m. at the C.C. Van Emburgh Funeral Home, Ridgewood. Interment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.

The sun goes down, but gentle warmth still lingers on the land.

Sending love and prayers to sweet Kate, Scott and their families. Kristen could not have said it better. There was no greater example of motherly love than that which Elaine provided. She was truly her daughter's best friend and so much more. Elaine was hilarious, stylish, fiercely loyal, creative and fun. I'm honored to have known her and to have watched her genuine love for her family and friends. My heart is breaking for Kate and the family who will feel her loss always. May you be surrounded by the love she gave you, the things she taught you and the memories to last a life time. Love you so much Bella and family.

Elaine, you will be deeply missed by so many friends and family, including my family. You were always so welcoming to friends of Kate and treated us like we were family. I don't think there is a greater love than that which you showed your children and grandchildren, or a greater bond between a daughter and mother than that which you and Kate share. Thank you for the many memories and laughs we have shared over the years- I will always cherish them. I'm glad we got to have one last girls' day together. Kate and Scott and family: the love, support, and dedication you showed your mom through everything right until the end is such an amazing testament to the woman Elaine is and the legacy she leaves behind. My prayers and love are with you always, and our hearts will always hold a piece of Elaine.
