My Poem in memory of Gary Werner, Esq.
Letter to Heaven
For Gary Werner

Dear Gary,

Heaven opened its doors for you,
welcoming your spirit into a new life.
Yet here on earth, remembering you
brings tears and heavy silence.

I see you still-laughing,
fighting for justice,
winning cases with passion and grace.
Now only an empty desk remains,
an empty chair,
an office filled with memories
instead of your voice.

Your smile lingers in our hearts,
though it now carries the weight of sorrow.
We cry not only for an attorney we admired,
but for a friend,
a family soul we were blessed to know.

Gary Werner-
your story here has ended in body,
but your legacy lives on,
stamped forever in the book of life.

Rest peacefully, dear friend.

I am froze to have heard this from my son Eric this Sunday evening. I had no idea we lost this wonderful man 5 years ago. I've been thinking and thinking give Gary a call. It's been such a long time since I spoke to him. And now my son tells me this and I look it up and I see this. I'm heartbroken. Gary helped me many times. But especially when he was brand new in his career. He went out of his way to help me and he did magnificently. Gary became my friend an attorney from then on throughout my life. Gary seemed like a brother to me. I pray God has his hands on him forever. My prayers are with the entire Werner family. God bless you Gary I will miss you sir!!!
