Louis Lapoff Obituary
Louis ,age 98, of Fair Lawn, on Thursday March 10, 2016. Born in Paterson, he was a co-proprietor with his brother Sam of Ace Cut Rate Variety Store in Hackensack where he sold everything "from shoelaces to refrigerators" from 1933-1986. He is pre deceased by his loving wife Gladys of 57 years. Devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle. He is survived by his daughter Karen Rosenthal and her husband Mitchell, and his son Ron LaPoff. Beloved grandfather of Jessica Bedrin and her husband Garret, Matt Rosenthal and his fiancé Lauren, Mara Glauberg and her husband Adam, and Jeff LaPoff. Lou was adored by his eight great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be 1 PM, Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Beth El Cemetery, 735 Forest Ave, Paramus, NJ. Arrangements are by Robert Schoem's Menorah Chapel, Paramus, NJ

I worked for Lou and Sam LaPoff at the Ace Cut Rate Variety Store many years ago. They were two fine gentlemen who helped direct me to a successful career. Their family should be proud of them.
