Michael Unsel

UNSEL Michael W., 40, of Fairfax, VA passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2010. Born in Paterson and raised in Elmwood Park, NJ, he resided in the Washington D.C. area since 1999. A man dedicated to helping others, Michael was a member of Elmwood Park Volunteer Fire Department Company 2 and a member of the Garfield Volunteer Ambulance Corps. Mr. Unsel served as a special agent with the U. S. Capitol Police in Washington, D.C. for more then ten years. Previously, he served as a fireman with the Meadowland Sports Complex in East Rutherford for ten years. Beloved and loving son of William E. and Irma (Jones) Unsel. Beloved husband of the late Barbara (Witt) Unsel. Cherished grandson of the late William and Nellie Unsel and Silas and Mildred Jones. Dear nephew of Peggy Loennecker, Kathleen Gillis and Adell Wisner. Dear great-nephew of Jane Unsel and Dimple Jackson. He is also survived by many loving cousins A funeral service is planned for Tuesday, November 30, 2010, 11 am at Vander Plaat Colonial Home, Inc., 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
