Lois Bicker
Lois Bicker, 69, of Napoleon passed away, surrounded by many friends who loved her deeply, on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2024, at Filling Home in Napoleon.
She was born on July 13, 1955, to Ernst and Judith Bicker. Lois moved into the Filling Home in 1960.
She began working at Quadco Rehabilitation Center in 1980 and remained employed there for many years. In 1994, she moved from the Filling Home to the Clinton Home, a county-owned group home in Napoleon. She lived there for 10 years before moving back to the Filling Home in 2004.
Lois was a long-time member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Napoleon. She was always a spiritual person, so attending church services and Bible study was very important to her. She was part of the first confirmation classes at the Filling Home. She would look forward to participating in chapel services.
She also participated in HOPE Services Senior Center, the Filling Home Habilitation Center and even served on the Filling Human Rights Committee for many years. She had a loving heart, and at one point she donated her hair to Locks of Love, a charity for children suffering from hair loss due to medical conditions or trauma.
Lois loved being the center of attention. She enjoyed karaoke and eating ice cream! She enjoyed going out on "dates," with her girlfriends, Donna and Amy Rosebrock. She loved joking around and having fun. Lois was a true character with a heart of gold.
She will be dearly missed by her Filling Home family and friends.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Ernst and Judy Bicker.
She is survived by her brother, William of Grandview Texas.
A Memorial Service to Celebrate Lois' life will be held on Monday, Oct. 28, 2024, at Filling Home Chapel in Napoleon at 1:30 p.m.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted with Snyder-Wesche-Hoening Funeral Home.
