As a "long lost" cousin--now 77, my heartfelt regrets that 1) all of you have suffered such a great loss (having read Al's obit and condolences that reveal a very beloved person; 2) that I've not seen Louise, Joyce, Junior, Al, Carole, and Betty (all of whom I remember with a fondness) since we were all children/cousins in the 1950's; and 3) That for whatever reasons that life separated all of us, it is sad. Just today, after a tedious search, I located the burial places of our Grandmother, Carrie Miner, and our Grandfather, Willis Miner and in my search am left with questions galore. Before my father (your uncle Ralph, Sr.) died in 2000, he mentioned he'd visited Al and a very delightful family, and we thought we'd get to make visit together. Unfortunately it never happened. It finally occured to me to go online today to find Al, only to sadly learn of his passing. So, in the event that my condolences reach any of you, I send my heartfelt warm wishes and regards and in the event any one (or all) of you might be interested in being in touch, please, by all means do feel most welcome to contact me. My sisters (Betty and LIllian) and my brother (Lester) remain in CT. Our brother, Junior, passed away in 2018 and he lived only blocks from me in Manchester CT. I recently came across a picture of our Grandmother, Carrie (given to me by my mother, Emma, before she died in 1985). She's standing next to an old car, holding a child I suspect is Louise. I recognize it to be at the house were we visited all of you--I don't, however remember what town that was. I hope life has given you all much happiness, and my memories recall those times as challenging.
Best Regards at this late time,
Your cousin,
Ron Miner Hughes

To the Wilcox Family: I am currently out of town on a work assignment so unfortunately I will not be able to attend the service for your Father. Within the last couple of years I was priviledged to enjoy your Dad's company during lunch at Gus' Pub. Although I have known your Dad for years we never really talked that much until recently. He was a wonderful, kind hearted man that always greeted me with a smile and a hearty hand shake. I will miss him dearly and I would like to convey my deepest of sympathies to you.
