Craig Raeburn Obituary

Rev. Craig "Scott" N. Raeburn Died - May 12, 2012 North Andover, MA - Rev. Craig "Scott" N. Raeburn, 74, of North Andover, MA, passed away on Saturday May 12th. Scott was born, raised and educated in Waterbury. He received his Bachelors Degree from the University of Connecticut and went on to graduate from Hartford Seminary. Early in his career he served in Glastonbury, at Buckingham Congregational Church for over 10 years. He went on to serve the community of Norwich, CT at Taftville Congregational Church and then in New London at the Second Congregational Church prior to his retirement. Most recently, Rev. Raeburn returned to serve as interim pastor at Forest Street Church in Methuen, MA prior to his final retirement in August of 2011. He was recently attending West Parish Church in Andover, MA. Over the course of his career he was a devoted volunteer with various hospice organizations. Scott is predeceased by his wife, Joy E. (Reese) Raeburn and a daughter, Traci McNulty. He leaves his sons, Craig N. Raeburn Jr. and his wife Maura of Farmington and Geoff Baron of Niantic and a son-in-law, Joseph McNulty of Andover; eight grandchildren, Rose, Dylan and Cody Raeburn, Nicholas, Adam and Lillian McNulty and Gill and Katie Baron. He is also predeceased by a sister, Patricia Peterson. Friends are invited to call from 1 to 3 P.M. on Friday, May 18th at the West Parish Church, Andover, MA. A Funeral Service will follow at 3 P.M. at the church. Cremation is to follow. Arrangements are under the direction of the Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA.
