Peter Vine Obituary

Peter Vine June 3, 1952 - November 19, 2011 Uncasville - Peter Vine, 59, of Uncasville died peacefully at home on Saturday November 19th after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in New London on June 3, 1952 the son of the late Robert and Jean (Morgan) Vine. Peter took pride in being a carpenter. He enjoyed serving others, golfing and riding his Harley Davidson. On March 24, 1990 he married Catherine (Chartier) Vine in Montville who survives him. Besides his wife he is survived by his three children, William Vine, Sarah and Felicia Vine. Four step children, Wayne Bozsum, Shane Long, Suzie Jacobs and Colby Kay. Two brothers, Robert and Paul Vine and one sister, Lynn VanWormer. Seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday November 29th at 11:00 A.M. at the Pleasant Valley Community Prayer and Praise Church, 20 Grove Ave., Groton. There are no calling hours. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Pleasant Valley Church of for the continued education of Pete's children. Guillot Funeral Home, 75 South B. St., Taftville is in charge of arrangements.

We miss Peter everyday, his brother Paul thinks about him everyday, it is a very painful loss but Peter always will be remenbered with joy because he was always a happy person and he was always giving love to everybody, Paul, Clementina, Sebastian and Melissa will love Peter forever, we love you peter
