To the entire Rathbun family I express my deepest sorrow and heartfelt condolences. I worked with Bob at the Groton Utilites for over 10 years and I always admired his commitment to family and friends. May God rest his soul and bring comofrt to his loved ones.

I am so sorry for your loss. Bob was a great man and will never be forgotten. I have so many great memories from growing up down the road, playing baseball and basketball and buying our tree from him for several years. My heart goes out to you all. If you need anything, please don't hesitate in contacting us. I would have liked to have been able to make it tonight but I am unable to because of scheduling matters with my son. To The Rathbun Family, I was shocked to hear of the passing of Bob. Bob and I worked for years together at The Groton Utilities. I have many fond memories of the years that we worked together. I hope that you as a family will draw even closer in this time of sorrow. Fond memories and may God be with him and with your family.

Linda and Family,
Bob and I just learned of your loss, and our hearts go out to you all at this time of great sorrow. I remember younger days when my parents would bring my brother, sister, and me to visit Aunt Mabel and Uncle Palmer for Sunday dinner, and how much we enoyed our visits with them and the two boys, Bob and Dick. My mother was especially fond of these two boys, and lived a long life to see them mature into adulthood and have families of their own. She would be so very sad today, as are we. And Linda, you know the wonderfully warm hug she would give you to comfort you at this time. I know she is praying for you and the family along with us.

my thoughts and prays are with you all.i coached with bob in the green devils org. and we use to get are xmas trees from bob.bob always had a kind words for me and a smile.he will be missed by of us that new him in the softball world as well as a friend.

I have fond memories when Bob, my dad,uncle Bob, and uncle Roland played softball, and you Linda kept score. Those were great times.I guess that is where it all started.

Linda, Bobby, Jeffrey & Jen, we are so sorry to hear of Bob's passing, what a shame. Although we didn't get together often when we did Bob was always fun to be around. I remember him telling me if I needed a personal shopper he was available as he loved grocery shopping. Cherish all the good times that you shared with him. Again so sorry for your loss.

Our deepest sympathy to all of you for the tragic loss of your husband and dad. We were all shocked to hear of Bob's passing and will remember him always. He influenced our lives as both coaches and players during our association with him during those wonderful years we knew him at SFC. Whether coaching or playing with or against him, he will always be one of the most influencial persons that taught us the way to play the game. We were fortunate to be friends with him and will cherish that friendship we had with him. He will be in our prayers and thoughts.

It always is a sad day for those left behind but it is a day of celebration for he who is going to everlasting life. You have a great family to support you and help you to get through this trial. To the Rathbun Family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I have not seen Mr. Rathbun since I was in high school at NFA with Jen (playing softball) but he was a very nice man. He will be most definitely remembered as a wonderful person. Again I am so sorry for your loss.
