Todd Fritz

Todd M. Fritz, 57, of North Platte, passed away peacefully on Aug. 15, 2022, at his home. Born on March 24, 1965, in Cambridge, he was the son of Martin L. and Sundae M. (Mues) Fritz. Todd graduated from Bartley Public School and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, serving from 1983-87. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad as a machinist, retiring in 2022. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle. He was in the process of restoring a vintage motorcycle. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Todd was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Dennis Fritz. Those left to cherish Todd's memory are his daughter, Paula Fritz of North Platte; son, Ben Fritz of Aurora, Colorado; grandchildren, Ava and Jaiden; sisters, Marla (Shane) Messersmith of McCook and Tracy Moon of North Platte; and nieces and nephews, Colin, Kylie and Karsen Messersmith and Nathan, and Jessica Moon. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. Online condolences may be shared at carpentermemorial.com. Funeral service is at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 19, at Carpenter Memorial Chapel with Pastor Bob Deardoff officiating. The service will be livestreamed for those unable to attend at carpentermemorial.com. Burial with military honors will follow at 1 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, near Bartley. Visitation is from 1-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which has been entrusted with arrangements.
