Inge Pence Obituary
Inge E. Pence, 87, of Browntown, VA, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Hidden Springs Senior Living.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 8 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m.
Burial will be private in the family cemetery.
Mrs. Pence was born January 7, 1929 in Czechoslovakia, daughter of Georg and Berta Bauer.
She worked for Warren County School cafeterias and later at Avtex Fibers for 20 years.
She was married to the late Wilmuth James Pence.
Surviving are one son, Marvin Pence and his wife Diane; one granddaughter, Dr. Kristen Pence and her husband Josh Bowie; one great-granddaughter, Tallulah Bowie, all of Browntown, VA.; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family in Germany.
The family would like to thank Dr. Thomas Ball, Daryl and Vicki Davison and the caring staff of Hidden Springs Senior Living where she resided the last three years.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Warren County, 1245 Progress Drive, Front Royal, VA 22630.
Arrangements are being handled by Maddox Funeral Home.

Marvin, Diane, Kristen, Josh and Tallulah we are so sorry for the loss of your mother. I enjoy memories of Aunt Inge playing the accordion and piano on our visits to the farm home. May you have fond memories as well. May God bless you all during this time of sorrow. Sending our love.

So sorry to hear of Mrs. Pence's passing. I remember while riding the school bus in elementary school and Mrs. Pence would sometimes get on our bus at the high school and ride home. I would always enjoy talking to her and listening to her accent. So sorry for your loss. She was a very nice lady.
