Marion Tisinger Obituary
Marion Moorman Tisinger, 82, of Edinburg, passed away Friday, September 17, 2021 at Winchester Medical Center. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 22, at 10:00 a.m., at Christ United Church of Christ Cemetery in Conicville. Pastor William Shifflett will officiate. Friends may view and sign the guest book from 12-5 on Tuesday at Valley Funeral Service.
Mr. Tisinger was born June 16, 1939 in Conicville, son of the late Claude George Tisinger Sr., and Goldie Virginia Dellinger Tisinger. He was a graduate of Edinburg High School and formerly worked at Aileen and for Shenandoah County Public Schools. He was a member of Christ United Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Fay Louise Baker Tisinger whom he married on June 16, 1961; sisters and brothers, Madeline Tisinger, Nancy George, Doris Shrum, Claude Tisinger Jr., and Richard Tisinger.
He is survived by three children, Marion Scott Tisinger (Tracy) of Goshen, Connie Tisinger Richey (Scott) of Woodstock and Gregory Todd Tisinger (Amanda) of Waynesboro; brother, Donald Tisinger (Nancy Jean) of Edinburg; grandchildren, Jason (Sara), Ricky (Lindsey), Timothy (Melissa), Molly, and Angelina Tisinger, Kimberly (Steve) McDonald; step grandchildren, Isabella Hartman, Zachary Puffenbarger and Christina Richey; great grandchildren, Allison, Flynn, Penny Fay, Dixie, Callie, Samuel, Remington, Kayden, Colten and step great grandchildren, Jonathan, Hattie, Virginia, Americus and Noah and two great grandchildren on the way.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Christ United Church of Christ, P.O. Box 968, Mt. Jackson, VA 22842 or St. Jude Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
The family wishes to thank everyone for their cards, food, visits and prayers.
His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
