Mom I have tried to write this to you a 1000 times and I always discard it, I cant seem to ever get my words right to let you know how privileged I feel to have been able to call you mom. No matter what our disagreements were or how hardheaded either one of us was you will be happy to know that I get it now and I'm sure now you realize I was right :) I still have really bad days when I don't want to except the obvious but then something happens and you let me know I'm not alone and your still here with me. I will always have your guidance and hear your words even though you thought I wasn't paying attention to things. You left very big shoes to fill and very big expectations for me but I will do my best not to let you down. Just sit on your bench and watch me go, shake your head and say yup that's my kid, if you see me going in the wrong direction just redirect me. I love you mom, all the way to heaven and back :)

I'm writing this letter to an angel.
You were here & you made our lives brighter just by being you.. Your were an advocate for the kids & you always fought for the under dogs. I will never forget what you did for me & my brother . Two lawless boys from Cedarville. You took us in when we had nowhere to go.. Just at the time when we were losing faith.. Yes, Miss Peck you ere an angel.. I personally believe there are all types of angels but it's the most special of the angels that are chosen to fight for the under dog kids the ones that society just says aren't worth it. I will miss you...
R.I.P Miss Peck...

To the family: Saying good-bye must be the hardest thing in the world for you, and words seem like such little things compared to what all of you are going through. With deepest sympathy.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to you. I do understand how hard it can be when a loved one has been taken by death. The pain, the grief, and the feelings of helplessness can seem unbearable. At such times, we need to go to God's Word for comfort. (JAMES 4:8)

Dear Frank and Family,
Please accept my heartfelt sympathy. I am heartbroken by the passing of Marti. She was truly an amazing person and a wonderful friend.
It is impossible not to miss someone who was such a part of your life. Marti was always there for me as well as the staff, parents and children of A.S. Rhodes....especially the children.
I know many of us will miss her beautiful smile, contagious laugh and unforgettable personality. She was kindhearted, respected, spirited and well loved.
Her life gave us memories too wonderful to forget. I am glad to have known Marti. I will miss her greatly and will cherish the time we spent together.
"I wish you peace to bring comfort, courage to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your hearts."
Love, Cindy

No bond is as great as that between a parent and child. Our deepest condolences are with you as you grieve.

January 9, 2014

We moved here in 2010. She was so very kind to me when getting the boys enrolled. She gave me peace knowing my boys, especially my Nicholas who was starting kindergarten would be ok. She knew the kids and cared. So sad! She is missed! Prayers to her family and the Staff at ASRhodes.

There will forever be a void at AS Rhodes without Marti. She was my first impression of the school when our family moved to the area in 2005, and my son started the third grade at AS Rhodes. I was very nervous about my son starting a new school, as he did not deal well with change - but Marti was there every step of the way to help him out. She continued to help me also, as I went on to work with the school since then, and always made me feel a welcome part of the AS Rhodes family. I feel comfort in knowing that Marti will always be watching down on our children with love.

May God be as close as your each & every breath as you lay to rest your sweet loved one. Marti has a special place in my heart.5 years ago when I lost my daughter Kelly to cancer, my granddaughters were in the 4th grade at A.S. Rhodes, Marti & Ms. Whittle were so loving & caring to Kaylee & Jordan to the point of not having to worry while they were at school...Marti will remain in the hearts of the Schuster, Williams & Marlow families... I have many fond memories of Marti and was so sorry to hear of her passing. She touched many lives. Though I haven't seen Marti for several years, I have thought of her often as I am now blessed to be working in a similar job as Marti. I strive to greet the students and families at R-MA as Marti did so warmly and lovingly for the students and families at A.S. Rhodes.

I met Marti when I moved here in 2005, my daughter attended A.S. Rhodes from K-5th and Marti was the most wonderful woman I have every met, kind, loving always smiling. My daughter was rushed to the hospital 2wks into her kindergarten year and Marti called me and stayed on the phone with me until I reached Warren Co. hospital from Winchester. Words cannot describe Marti but for those lucky enough to have known her she is one of a kind. Much respect and sympathy to her family as she will be truly missed.
