Sally Kalar Obituary

Sally Ann was widely loved and admired for her sparkly sense of humor and ability to make others feel special. She was one of the early members of Mary Esther United Methodist Church. It was in this church that she met her husband, Ray, and raised her children. Sally passed away Sept. 5, 2011, at 11:30 a.m.
Her mother, Ann Katherine Smith, and father, Chaplin Kenneth L. Smith; her younger brother, Kenneth; and her eldest son, David Michael Hall, precede Sally in death. Surviving her is her husband of 36 years, Ray Kalar; their children, Jonathan, Linda, Steve, Marcella and Michelle; and their grandchildren, Natalie, Alex and Dibe Hall, and Zyze and Kami McCausland. Her surviving sibling is Louise Marvin. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
There will be a memorial service on Friday, Sept. 16, at 10 a.m. at Mary Esther United Methodist Church. As an alternative to flowers, donations should be given to the Mary Esther United Methodist Church in memory of Sally Ann Kalar.
McLaughlin Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Sally was a great friend and Mom. I remember when I got my car, I took it to show Sally my Fiat, it was a stick shift, Sally got into the car with me and endured my shifting. Her son Jo/athan and I were best friends through HS and at College. My heart goes out to Ray,Jonathan,Linda,Steve and David. In Christ's Love, Ron Kinney

To my dear friend, Charles: May you find rest and peace in Heaven. Thank you for your support in my time of need and for being there unconditionally throughout the last year even though your health was failing you. Nobody could ask for a more sincere and true friend. I will miss you for a very long time.
