DANE D. BURNS HOBART, IN Dane D. Burns, 73, of Hobart passed away Monday, March 28, 2016. He was born October 17, 1942 in Hayti, MO to Dan and Judith Burns. Dane was a longtime and proud Operating Engineer with Local #150. He enjoyed the solitude of fishing and sharing the love of his family by turning up the television volume. On September 8, 1962 in Caruthersville, MO he married Elizabeth A. Hooker who preceded him in death on November 11, 2014. Survivors include their daughters: Kim (Danny) Kleckner of Valparaiso and Tressa M. Shears (fiancé, Rich Lewis) of Hobart, many grandchildren and great grandchildren and his sister, Judy. He was preceded in death by his son, Dennis D. Burns; mother, Judith Ivey; father, Dan Burns and brother, Tom Burns. A visitation will be held Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso with funeral service beginning at 6:00 p.m. with cremation to follow.
