Elizabeth Webber Obituary
Elizabeth Lorraine Webber, (nee Distell) of Munster, IN Born in Atlanta, GA at Emory State University Hospital on January 27, 1925, Mom left us on Wednesday April 22, 2015 at the age of 90. She was the wife of the late George T. Webber; and Mother of: Tom Webber, Catherine Webber, and Diane (Lee) Otness. Mom was a homemaker and enjoyed discovering new recipes and trying them out on the family. She had many cookbooks and spent hours reading them. In her younger days, she went to auctions and loved to listen to the auctioneer. Even if she didn't buy something, she was always amazed at how fast the auctioneer could talk. If she bought something, it always needed fixing, painting, stripping, upholstering, or antiquing, which she would gladly do. When Mom got tired of a furniture arrangement, she would move it. Sometimes the living room could be rearranged twice in one day. She was a devout Catholic and said the rosary daily. All she ever wanted was for her kids to be happy, and we always knew she was happy when she hummed. Mom never complained and always cared for her family and friends. She was loved as a Mother by many and will be dearly missed. Please send up a prayer A memorial service will be planned at a later date. Tom, Cathy, Winkie,
Words cannot express my deepest sympathies for the loss of your mom.
Your mom was a wonderful person. She was so special to me. I will miss her heart-felt energy, supportive encouragement, and lively conversations.
You were so blessed to have her as your mom as I was to have her in my life.
My hope is it brings comfort that she will be missed by many.
