Eloise H. Cala

Jan 2, 2025

Eloise H. Cala, 96, of Munster passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at which time she met her Savior Jesus Christ face-to-face and was reunited with her loving husband, James R. Cala.

She is survived by her children, David (Susie) Cala of Indianapolis, Donald (Diana) Cala of Middleboro, MA, Kathleen (David) Park of Munster, Amy (Jerry) VanderMolen of Elmhurst, IL, and Peter Cala of Munster; her grandchildren, Kathy, Andy, Caleb, Joshua, and Abby; her great-grandchildren, Ella, Jeremiah, Lilly, Londyn, Dottie and Nova; her brother, Kenneth (Teri) Honderich of Oak Park, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 11:00am at the Village Church, 14849 W. 93rd Ave., Dyer, IN with Pastor Steve Jones officiating. Interment will be next to her husband at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Friends and loved ones may meet with the family from 9:00am to 10:45am preceding the service on January 11, 2025 at the church.

Eloise spent her life making a wonderful home for her husband and children, and serving the Lord with her piano playing. She spent almost all her life giving piano lessons to children and adults at little to no fee. She was the key piano player for her church for over 70 years. Her delight was in God, her husband and her family who loved her dearly.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to The Pacific Garden Mission, https://www.pgm.org/, which Eloise supported and was blessed by for many years.
