James Ireland Obituary
James H. Ireland, age 67, late of Hegewisch passed away on August 17, 2025. Beloved husband of Carmen (nee Correa) for 40 years. Loving father of Matthew Ireland. Dear son of the late Jack and late Barbara Ireland. Dearest brother of John Ireland. Fond brother-in-law of Juan (Sandy) Correa, David (Tammy) Correa and late Abel Correa. Also survived by cousins; Bobbie Tanner, Debbie Orlando and Marilyn "Bunny" Schane; and numerous nieces and nephews. James leaves behind his "Canine Companion" Layla. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, employee of Northstar Aerospace Inc., Bedford Park, Ill., and a longtime active member of Hegewisch Baseball Organization. Visitation Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 12 p.m. to the time of "Celebration of Life" and military services at 4 p.m. at the Elmwood Chapel, 11200 South Ewing Ave., Chicago, Ill. 60617.
