I served with Joe on the Board of the Carmelite Home for Girls in East Chicago for several years. His leadership provided direction on matters of finance, organization, and management. Having often more than 100 children to manage was always a challenge for the Carmelite Sister but because of Joe Beckman, we all worked together to provide the children with a warm, loving and caring home environment. If they could, they would all individually thank Joe Beckman for his loving and enduring concern for their welfare. RIP Joe, you are already missed.

I knew Joe Beckman because I worked at a local title company and knew Joe from his various building activities. He was always professional, kind and I was convinced of his honor and integrity. His presence will be remembered in the construction community.
