I worked for both Kurt and Stacy at some point in my career. Kurt was always a consummate professional and a great leader. We worked hard and also had some fun along the way. Kurt led with character and integrity. Rest in Peace.

To Stacy, Kurt´s sisters, nieces, and nephews,

I´m so deeply sorry for your loss. Kurt´s passing came as such a shock, and my heart goes out to all of you.

Kurt and I worked together for years, but we were much more than just coworkers-we were friends. He was a true gentleman with a kind heart, and I always felt lucky to know him.

We actually caught up just two weeks ago while I was in Chicago, and it was such a great visit. We laughed, shared stories, and he spoke so lovingly about his family. It was clear how much you all meant to him.

Kurt will be in my prayers, and I´ll be having a Mass said in his honor.

God bless you, Kurt. I´m truly grateful for the time we had. You´ll be deeply missed, my friend. Until we meet again, may you find peace and joy in the presence of your loved ones in Heaven.

The Lightcap Family:

I was saddened to hear that Kurt had passed. I know that nothing I may say can lesson your deep grief, but I pray that your family will soon find abiding comfort in the high regard everyone had for Kurt and his accomplishments.

I shall never forget Kurt. At Wabash, I had the honor to play on the offensive line with Kurt being coached by Mike Deal. Under Coach Deal, Kurt and the rest of us learned a very important lesson that we have carried with us the rest of our lives. Hard work works! Kurt was a fighter, a leader, and a WINNER. He stayed with his blocks until the whistle blew; and he carried this never quit mentality with him always.

Kurt was a leader on the Undefeated Football Team in 1982. His class was the winningest class in the history of Wabash Football. He will forever be "Some Little Giant"

When God measures an athlete, or a man, he puts a tape around his heart, not his waist. I know that number 66 is now on God's All-Star Team.

My deepest sympathy to your family in this time of sorrow.
