Marie Schrader Obituary

Marie E. Schrader Chesterton Marie E. Schrader, 79, of Chesterton, passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2004 at the VNA Horton Hopice Center in Valparaiso. She was born April 1, 1924 in Pine Township, IN to the late Henry and Esther Grischow Glafke. Married June 1, 1946 in Michigan City, IN to Carl Schrader who preceded her in death. Survived by daughter Kathryn Pletka; son ronald (Greta) Schrader of Valparaiso; four grandchildren: Jennifer (Jeff) Flitter of Fountain, CO, Ryan (Keri) Schoenenberger of Milwaukee, WI, Nick and Luke Schrader of Valparaiso; four great grandchildren: Joseph Flitter, Nathan Egelske, Claudia and Madeline Pletka. Preceded in death by her husband, and sister Rose May Glafke. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 23, 2004 at 11:00 AM from the White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St., Chesterton, IN . Burial Chesterton Cemetery, Chesterton, IN. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 22nd, from 3 to 8 p.m. Memorias may be given to VNA Horton Hospice Center, Valparaiso. Mrs. Schrader was a graduate of Elston High School in Michigan City. She was a homemaker and member of the Avalante Club of Michigan City.
