Phyllis J. Wiechecki (nee Marolewski), age 89, of Crown Point, IN, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024.
Phyllis is survived by her loving daughter, Lynn (Larry) Luebcke; grandchildren, Heather (Nathan) Charles, Brandon (Nicole) Luebcke; great-grandchildren, Beckett, Hadley, Isla and Andi; brothers, Frank (Janet) Marolewski and Theodore (Judith) Marolewski.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Wiechecki; and baby girl silent.
Phyllis worked as a wonderful homemaker and mother. She liked to shop, play bunco, in her earlier years, and go on casino trips. Phyllis loved to travel with the love of her life, Frank of 68 years of marriage, on the 27 cruises they shared amongst many other amazing vacations.
She loved her family and her daughter will always be her "little girl".
A special "Thank You" to the nurses, aides and volunteers of Hospice of the Calumet area and the William J. Riley Memorial Residence.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, July 12, 2024, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 7667 E 109th Ave, Crown Point, IN 46307 from 9:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM with Fr. Tom Mischler officiating.
Interment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Calumet City, IL.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Phyllis's name to Hospice of the Calumet, www.hospicecalumet.org.

Phyllis was a wonderful friend and I have happy memories. My husband Richard and I enjoyed happy times with Phyllis and Frank. Phyllis was a beautiful woman, dressed impeccably and hair in place always. I'm glad our paths crossed over the years to continue our friendship. love Betty
