Susan Zart Obituary

Susan Mary Zart

February 22, 1958 - May 19, 2024

Susan Mary Zart "Nana", a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2024 at the age of 66 at Methodist Hospital in Merrillville, Indiana.

Susan was born in Chicago Heights, IL on February 22, 1958, to Stanley and Margaret Sikorski and preceded in death by her brother Ron.  Susan's legacy is one of warmth, generosity, and unwavering strength.  She selflessly dedicated her life to her family, offering a listening ear and a comforting embrace whenever needed. Susan's passion extended beyond her family; she was an avid fan of both the Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Cubs and Nascar. In her quieter moments, she found solace in tending to her flowers and ensuring the bird feeders were always filled. Her impact will be felt for generations to come.

Susan is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, William Zart; her brother Jim, nephew Steve, and her devoted children Sean (Nicole) Zart, Shannon (Michael) Rich, grandchildren, Alexa, Joshua, Austyn, Logan and many special extended family members.

A Celebration of Life for Susan will be held in her honor later this Summer.
