AMY LAWRENCE Obituary

LAWRENCE--Amy B.

87, died peacefully in her sleep on December 9, 2017. Much loved, she was the wife of music director Elliot Lawrence; the mother of Alexandra, Daniel, James and Mia; grandmother of Rumi, Carmen, Jacob, Jack and Oliver; and sister of David and Robert Bunim. Born and raised in New York City, she held many degrees, including a BA from Wellesley, an MA from Bank Street College, a MSW from Yeshiva University, and an EdD from Columbia's University. Amy was a caring, thoughtful educator, therapist, and friend. A memorial service will be held at the Society for Ethical Culture, on Friday, December 29, at 4pm.
