DENNIS BARRACK

BARRACK--Dennis. June 8, 1926 - November 29, 2023. Dennis Barrack was born on June 8, 1926 and grew up during the great depression. Throughout his life, he always worked hard. When he was still a young man, he began his own business. He went back to school later in life, changing his profession to become an accountant and auditor for the State of New York. Dennis was filled with curiosity and was interested in everything. He loved mid century modern design and woodworking. He could do anything with his hands. He built the bed that he and his wife slept on for most of their marriage. He painted, faceted gems, made jewelry and loved to play tennis. So much so that he played up to four hours a day three times a week and played until he was 96. Dennis was a kind and loving man and a role model to his family and friends. He was good to his core and possessed strong moral fiber and character. He will be lovingly remembered as unwaveringly unique, kind and witty. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Barrack, his daughter, Luise Barrack and son, Michael Barrack and his son's husband, Charley Anderson Barrack, his granddaughter, Madeleine Karel and her husband, Thomas Howley, and their son and his great-grandson, Max Karel Howley and his grandson, Julian Karel and his wife, Mandy Karel, and their children and his great-grandchildren, Brooke and Briella Bennison and Barrack Denton Karel.
