EDNA ELLE Obituary

ELLE--Edna Clara. Edna Clara Elle, 68, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023, after a lengthy and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Edna was born on January 15, 1955 in New York City, daughter of the late Edgar Elle and Clara Elle. She was a stepdaughter to the late Nunzio Ruvitoso. She was also predeceased by a brother, Phillip Noland, and a sister, Ellen Ruvitoso. Edna is survived by her son Mason Elle-Gelernter and her daughter Adele Elle- Gelernter. She is also survived by her partner of many years, Bill Fanny, who provided care for her as MS made it more and more difficult for Edna to manage on her own. Edna is also survived by her sister Trish Schiesser, two nieces, Patti and Mandy Schiesser, and a nephew, Whitney Schiesser. Edna graduated from Syracuse University with a BFA in Advertising Chemistry. Later, she earned a MA in Communications from Emerson University. Edna worked for Digital Equipment Corporation, first as a graphic designer, and later as an authoring tools designer. Edna then worked for Oracle Corporation as a Senior Principal Program Manager where she was an architect and designer of authoring and translation tools used corporate-wide. Being an accomplished artist herself, Edna fostered Mason and Adele's many talents and interests, especially their musical talents. She was endlessly proud of both of her children. Edna was an avid gardener, even rototilling her garden when she was due to give birth to Mason. Recently, she tended container plants when she could no longer manage her large vegetable and flower gardens. She also loved downhill skiing and sewing. She was known to make fashionable clothes for Barbie dolls and to give them away to children at Christmas. Her friends and co-workers always appreciated Edna's sense of humor and sense of style. Edna's funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at 11am at the South Congregational Church, 27 Pleasant Street, Concord, NH. Burial will immediately follow at Evans Cemetery, 28 White Rock Hill Road, Bow, NH. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 11am at the South Congregational Church, 27 Pleasant Street, Concord, NH. Dear Mason and Adele - I am so saddened to read of your mom´s passing although I knew that she was ill. I will always remember her and you two as little `tykes´ at First Church. How she loved and cherished you!! She was so talented and made such beautiful costumes for the Christmas pageant. It was clear to all the love you shared. You´ve grown into such wonderful, talented adults. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy at your devastating loss. With love, Cathy Lord
