George Getzel was a great professor and very comforting to his students at the time of the attacks on the World Trade Center. I will always remember the many conversations he had with students that were calming and helpful. May he rest in eternal Peace.

George was my professor at Hunter in the early 80's and my friend after we reconnected in 2005. May his friends and family be comforted by their memories. He was a wonderful man and mentor.
