ISABEL CAHILL Obituary

CAHILL--Isabel Schaefer, 93, of Vero Beach, FL and Martha's Vineyard, MA died peacefully at her home in Indian River Estates, Vero Beach on August 13. She was born on October 10, 1922 in Boston, MA the only daughter of Mary and George J. Schaefer. Her two brothers George and Gerard predeceased her. She was a graduate of The Ursuline School, New Rochelle, NY and Manhattanville College, Purchase, NY. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, John J. Cahill was her high school sweetheart and the love of her life. She is survived by five children Susan Gebhardt of Seattle, WA, Geraldine Ordway (Christopher) of Houston, TX, Julia Cahill of New York, NY, John Cahill of Vineyard Haven, MA, and Elizabeth Cahill Ruksznis (David) of New Canaan, CT. Also surviving are eight adoring grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She loved playing golf at Waccabuc Country Club, Waccabuc, NY, was a charter member of Farm Neck Golf Club, Martha's Vineyard and was an active member of Bent Pine Golf Club, Vero Beach, FL.
