Grateful for his life saving surgery when I was 6 months old. I'll never forget the date. 6-6-67. He gave me a heart charm with the surgery date engraved on it. I've had amazing health ever since.

I just saw this. I was one of his patients from the late 60s through the early 80s. I underwent 3 different surgeries over 14 years and I'm still kicking. I credit him with me living to see age 7, then 17, then 21. I'm very saddened to hear of his passing but I'm also happy he had a long life. My story is not unique and there are many others alive today thanks to his care.
