Maxine Stanaford Obituary

Maxine Stanaford, 88, of Grayson passed away at her residence, Friday, January 27, 2024. She was born April 14, 1935, in Salsbury, KY; the daughter of the late Lawrence and Loraine Mayo Rodgers. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Stanaford; a daughter, Betty Justice; a son, Larry Justice; a brother, Howard Rodgers; a sister, Vera "Bonnie" McClure; two grandsons, Robert Brian Gumm and Mark Allen Justice.
She had attended the Church of God of Prophecy and had worked at ARMCO Steel for many years. Maxine is known for the beautiful quilting.
She is survived by a son, Keith Justice of Grayson; a daughter, Bertha (Brian) McKnight of Ironton, OH; a stepdaughter, Kim Artrip of Kenova, WV; a brother, Carson (Regina) Rodgers of Aden; three sisters, Carolyn Littleton of Grayson; Christine Littleton of Columbus, OH; Doris Sexton of Oliver Springs, TN; seven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at the Sparks Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Cribbs Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 30, 2024, from 12:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home.
