KAI TOM Obituary

TOM--Kai. Kai Tom, of New York City, passed on March 30, 2025. He was a loving husband to Song Ye Li, Pratt Institute graduate, graphic artist and U.S. Army veteran. We will forever remember Kai fondly for his kindness, generosity and gentle soul. He is survived by his brother, Philip Tom and sister, Linda Tom Lee.

Kai Sun Tom of New York, NY, passed on March 30, 2025 at the age of 87. Kai was born in wartime China and suffered greatly as a child. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1948 at the age of 11, arriving in time to celebrate Independence Day. After graduating from Pratt Institute, Kai served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in South Korea. It was there that Kai met and married his beloved Song Ye Li. Kai enjoyed a successful career as a graphic artist in the advertising industry. He was beloved as a husband, brother, son, grandson, uncle, granduncle and cousin. We will forever remember Kai fondly for his generosity, kindness and gentle soul.
