Here are some of the sentiments coming in from around the world.
From St. Petersburg, Russia:
She united us. She went on new and new circles in her life. She was a creative personality in everything. Created our database after she left chair at Japanese performing arts studies... And still she wanted more. She joined that university group of birds studies on Saturdays in the wood... After years she resumed practice playing piano. She arranged parties for single senior University colleagues. And she found Doug and was brave to change her life to live closely with a new person (would many of us do so even in earlier stages of life?). And her trips in depths of special cultures....
From Tokyo, Japan:
?????????
???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
[rough translation]A truely sad loss. From the first time I came to Cornell and worked with Professor Brazell I thought "I want to be like this person. This is my role model." And later so many times in so many ways she took care of me. We will never forget her wonderful and powerful smile.
