Great sympathies to the family of Kynaston McShine. His vision impacted the lives of young artists and myself from the seventies onward. With great thanks, now in peace.

In the early 70's I studied w/Kynaston at SVA, changing the way I thought about art past and present. For several years afterward I ran errands and generally assisted him, entrusted with the keys to his loft on Broadway. The kindness and patience he extended to Kathleen and I will not be forgotten.
