Lillian Coleman Obituary
Tappan - Lillian I. Coleman, 78, died of respiratory failure on September 15, 2019, at her home in Tappan, NY. She was born in Boston, MA, the daughter of Ronald and Laura Carmen (MacLaughlin) Little.
Lillian graduated from Hyde Park High School, Class of 1958. Following graduation, she attended the Massachusetts General Hospital Nursing School, which she finished in 1961. She married George Coleman in 1963 and eventually settled in Tappan. Lillian enjoyed cruising, needlework, reading and baking.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, and her two brothers, James and Ronald. Surviving her are her two daughters, Kristine Coleman and her husband John Halsey of Beaverton OR and Elizabeth Coleman of Alexandria VA. Additionally, she is survived by her sister Laura Little of Arlington VA and her sister-in-law Georgeana Little of Cambridge VT.
An Open house will be held 2 pm on Sunday, Sept. 22 at her home in Tappan. Those who wish to remember Lillian in a special way may make gifts in her memory to the Helen Hayes Hospital Foundation.
