I can still hear her beautiful singing voice in my head, and recall countless "sing" nights among the group who trekked to Valley Cottage every other week to play and sing all night. When I was a teenager, she was one of my Mom's dear friends. Sometimes I'd go there with them, and sometimes on my own. When going to Lil'svI was allowed to stay out WAY past curfew!!! Lil met my baby son (who is now 32) too.
These days, I'm in a choir, and also frequently go (at least once a week) to sing karaoke. I hope even in the great beyond, Lil knows I'm singing again!!! Many fond memories......

I would like to express my condolences to the Appel family. How wonderful to have lived a long and full life like Ms. Appel. She reminds me of a bible text, Psalms 92:14. It says Even in old age they will still be thriving; They will remain vigorous and fresh.
Losing a loved one is never easy. But at times like these, its a great time to reflect on beautiful moments shared and hold them tight.

To the Appel Family: My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.
