I only recently found out that Mr. Louis Brause passed away. I am so sorry to hear this and I send my heartfelt condolences. I know the feeling of losing a father, my dad Alfred Rosenthal passed away in 2022, it is a hard thing. He also served in the war and graduated from New York University. Mr. Louis Brause left an amazing legacy. I happen to rent a space in one of his buildings and it is a very special place. I have been there for over 20 years and it feels a bit like family, so I wanted to send my regards and condolences to the family and found this spot.

My deepest condolences to the Brause family. I met Lou in 1975 when I started my career as a salesman at the Edward S Gordon Company. Lou and Ed were friends and I was introduced to him one day when he was visiting the office. During our talk he encouraged me to get involved in the real estate divisions of several Jewish organizations. I took his guidance and was particularly fond of ORT. He and Jerry Gottesman took me under their wings and ultimately I became the president of the real estate chapter of American ORT. Lou was always a guiding light and with his help we always had great honoree´s and large turnouts for our events as well as raising meaningful money for the organization. Lou was a warm and gracious man. Over the years whenever we saw one another there was always a cheerful smile on his face.
May his memory be a blessing.
