To the Fitzgibbons Family: My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.

Mark,

It was wonderful getting to know you over the years. I was always fascinated by your creativeness and enjoyed hearing your stories about the theatre projects and movies you worked so hard on. Your stories exhibited the passion you had for your work. You can rest well knowing you were able to live your life doing what you loved so much.

We will miss you.

Mark was such a thoughtful person, taking so much genuine interest in everyone he met. Our Thanksgiving trip to NYC (during which he was an excellent tour guide), and his many visits to be with the family during the holidays will always be cherished memories. His sister Beth was a real hero, with him every step along the way. What a fitting way to honour what Mark loved most - by supporting the trill and enjoyment of the theatre.

I remember Uncle Mark as thoughtful and inquisitive. I will miss his creative cards that were personalized with so much care and ingenuity. Warren and I will think of you every time we're in the Brooklyn area. Love, Alexis

As humble as Mark was is as humble as this Obit was written for him. Mark's talents went far beyond what most people are gifted with. As a musician, neighbor, and dear friend I will remember only the greatest moments of our rants on the promenade in Brooklyn with my husband Pat, Mark and I and on our roof deck with wine & dinner about the injustices that often present to so many artists in our beloved city. Brooklyn misses him, we miss him and the art world has one less brilliant mind in design. See you on the promenade, Mark. Your favorite bench will always hold your spirit.
